About DDDC

Welcome to Dorothy’s Discovery Daycare!

In January 2003, DDDC originally opened as a Group Day Care Home caring for 12 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. In April of 2005, we became re-licensed as a Childcare Center. The Center is located within a residential neighborhood; in a home renovated for childcare. Most of the children attending the Center live nearby and families enjoy the convenience of a neighborhood childcare facility. Although children are cared for in assigned age groups, they have the benefit of visiting friends and siblings throughout the day to enhance the family atmosphere and to provide an opportunity for long-term friendship.

In April of 2013 we were approved for a new addition which allows us now to care for 75 children. The addition is host to Infant, Toddler One, Pre-K, and GSRP classrooms. Our original classrooms have been turned Toddler Too and Preppers classrooms. In August of 2013 our new addition was finally completed and opened just in time for the new school year. With the new addition we also have two new playgrounds housing exciting and fun new playground equipment.

The center is open 6:30a.m. – 6:00p.m. Monday-Friday year around. We invite you to visit our center, get to know us and discuss opportunities for your child.
